It's a new year, and a new look on things.'

I've had some things happen in the past few weeks that have made me take long look at where I am and where I should be. It's given me the motivation to push forward on several projects that I hope to have available for consumption in the near future.

I've gotten back into writing, and have every intention of keeping myself focused on that. That means there will be some more fiction in the writing section for you folks to check out. I always appreciate any and all feedback you can supply.

Lastly, I leave you with this...kinda my anthem for this year.

Busy, Busy Beaver...

...is kinda like Hungry, Hungry Hippos...only there's no eating involved, and it sounds WAY dirtier. All that aside, it does describe my situation the past few months. I've been busy as all hell. Which I have to admit, has left me drained as of late.

Being drained AND unmotivated is a very deadly combination. However, fear not...my absence has not been completely in vain. I stumbled into several projects that I'm very excited about, and I'm sure someone out there will enjoy very much. If not, I'm sure we will have a blast making them.

To pass the time, I would like to recommend a couple things for you to check out:
The first is The Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service:

It's written by Eiji Otsuka (the guy who wrote the Manga MPD-Psycho), and drawn by Housui Yamazaki. It follows the a group of recently graduated Buddhist University students who have a special way of dealing with the dead and helping them carry out their final wishes. I highly recommend this series. Each volume contains two to three self contained stories, which seems to make the books fly by. I was a little disappointed when I read the last page of Vol. 11 and learned that I have to wait until January to read Vol. 12.

The second thing I would like to recommend is The Sixth Gun:

It is a western series with a very strong blend of horror for good measure. I picked this up at the recommendation a friend, and I'm glad I did. Cullen Bunn and Brian Hurtt do an excellent job with this series, and I'm looking forward to issue 7 as Cullen and Brian have decided to bring The Sixth Gun crew to New Orleans...and I mean, hey...that's right in my backyard.

Lastly, I hope you would check out Bad Books. It's a band consisting of Kevine Devine and Manchester Orchestra. I'll let the video below speak for itself. The album just came out and can be picked up here...Definitely worth a listen.

I believe that will suffice for now...Check back soon, because there will be more ramblings and updates. This I promise.
